KITCHEN APPARATUS WITH COOKING PLATE AND SMOKE EXTRACTOR DEVICE
DESCRIPTION
The present invention refers to a kitchen appliance with a hob and fume extractor. The kitchen appliance comprises a cooking plate and at least one smoke extractor device that is partially or completely incorporated in the cooking plate.
In the kitchens it is known to use the so-called countertop fans instead of fume hoods, which are mounted on top of a hob, for example, next to the wall of the space or cover, to suck the vapors and vapors that They are generated when cooking. The fume hood can be integrated here in the hob. In the patent application DE 10 2010 042 436 A1, an integrated fume hood of this type is described. On the cooking plate, an indicator element is provided here in the front area of the cooking plate, through which the parameter settings of the fume hood can be indicated.
A disadvantage of this cooking hob with integrated fume hood is that the correlation between the indication for the fume extractor on the hob and the fume hood must be indicated by symbols or texts and therefore not It is intuitive for the user.
The present invention solves the technical problem of being able to easily provide the user with information relating to the fume extractor device through the fume extractor device integrated in a cooking plate.
The invention is based on the idea that this technical problem can be solved by creating an indicator device that is partially or completely arranged in the area of the smoke extractor device.
Therefore, the invention solves the exposed technical problem by means of a kitchen appliance, which comprises a cooking plate and a smoke extractor device partially or completely incorporated in the cooking plate. The kitchen appliance is characterized in that it comprises at least one indicator device for the smoke extractor device which has at least one lighting device and a

emission surface for emitting light from the lighting device, and at least the emission surface is arranged in the area of the smoke extractor device.
The term "kitchen appliance" includes the concept of a combined appliance comprising a cooking hob and at least one fume extractor. According to one embodiment, the cooking appliance comprises a control panel through which they can be actuate both the cooking plate and the fume extractor device In addition, the cooking plate and the fume extractor device may preferably have a connection to the common network.
Preferably, the cooking plate has a cover plate and at least one heating module, which is arranged under the cover plate. In addition, the cooking plate can have a cooking plate housing that is also arranged under the cover plate and next to which or in which electrical or electronic components of the heating modules are provided.
The cover plate can be made, for example, of ceramic hob. The heating modules of the hob may constitute electrically heated induction modules or modules. According to the invention, the cooking plate can form a continuous cooking zone. However, it is also possible that at least two, preferably, at least four cooking zones are formed on the cooking plate.
The fume extractor device is partially or completely incorporated in the hob. For this purpose, an opening is provided on the cooking plate. The opening may be incorporated in the cooking plate cover plate and, if necessary, also in the cooking plate housing, in particular, in the cooking plate housing floor.
The smoke extractor device preferably has a housing in which filter elements may be housed, and which serves to conduct the sucked air. In addition, the smoke extractor preferably comprises a fan. The fan may be arranged on the hob or under the hob. In the smoke extractor device at least one suction opening is provided through which vapors and vapors can be sucked into the smoke extractor device. According to one embodiment, the suction opening is located on the upper side of the smoke extractor. The upper side of the fume extractor device can be formed here by a frame, the

which can also be called grid. At least one suction opening is provided in the frame, and the frame covers the housing upwards. The part of the smoke extractor device which according to the invention can be incorporated in the cooking plate can be the housing or a part of the smoke extractor device housing.
The kitchen appliance is characterized in that it comprises at least one indicator device for the smoke extractor device. The term "indicating device" includes the concept of an indicating device whereby at least one state of the smoke extractor device can be indicated. The indicating device has at least one lighting device and an emission surface for emitting light from the lighting device. The term "lighting device" includes the concept of a device that comprises at least one light source.
The term "emission surface" includes the concept of a surface through which the light coming from the lighting device can be emitted to the environment. The emission surface may be separated from the lighting device and, in particular, from the at least one light source. However, it is also possible that the emission surface constitutes a surface of the lighting device, in particular, of the at least one light source, and, therefore, is integrated in the lighting device.
In addition, the emission surface is arranged according to the invention in the area of the smoke extractor. The expression "arranged in the area of the fume extractor" includes the concept of an emission surface that is formed by a part of the fume extractor, which is installed next to the fume extractor, or that is in the vicinity of the fume extractor on the hob.
When an indicator device is used according to the invention in which at least the emission surface is arranged in the area of the smoke extractor, multiple advantages can be achieved. On the one hand, through this arrangement of the emission surface, through which light is emitted, the correlation for the user between the indication and the smoke extractor device is simplified, so that the use of the kitchen appliance is facilitated . On the other hand, the at least one emission surface can be formed by disposing in the area of the smoke extractor device through a part of the smoke extractor device itself and / or the cooking plate, so that it can be minimize the multiplicity of pieces. Finally, the emission surface can or the emission surfaces can

present large dimensions, so that the indication is easy for the user to recognize.
According to one embodiment, the indicating device is a position indicating device to indicate the position of the smoke extractor device. In this case, it is advantageous that the emission surface comprises at least a part of at least one edge of the smoke extractor and, in particular, of the housing or of the frame of the smoke extractor. By indicating the position of the fume extractor device on the hob by means of the indicating device, it can be safely prevented that the user unintentionally places, for example, pots or pans, on the fume extractor device, in particular, on the framework.
Additionally or alternatively, the indicating device may be an operating status indicating device to indicate at least one operating status of the smoke extractor device. By means of the indicating device it can be indicated, for example, that the smoke extractor device is activated. Additionally or alternatively, the indicating device may indicate the degree of ventilation of the smoke extractor in which it is operated.
According to one embodiment, the emission surface is a surface of the lighting device, a section of the fume extractor, in particular, a surface of the fume extractor housing, or a section of the cooking plate.
The term "surface of the lighting device" includes the concept of a surface of a light source. Additionally, next to this surface, a protective layer may also be provided, for example, in the form of an iron or a film. The embodiment in which a surface of the lighting device forms the emission surface has the relative advantage that the lighting device can be applied, for example, on the upper side or on side edges of the smoke extractor or the cooking plate, since the light emitted by the lighting device is therefore safe for the user to recognize.
The term "section of the fume extractor", which can serve as an emission surface, includes the concept of a section of the fume extractor that is located on or on the upper side of the cooking plate. Therefore, the section may be, for example, the outer edge of a flange of the housing through which the housing rests on the upper side of the cooking plate and,

specifically, of the cover plate. Preferably, the housing is covered upwards by a frame with suction openings. Specifically, the frame covers an edge of the housing upwards. By serving the edge of the emission surface flange, it is protected at least upwards against impurities and mechanical deterioration. When a section of the fume extractor is used as an emission surface and, in particular, a surface of the housing that is part of the upper side of the fume extractor, the structure of the kitchen appliance is simplified. It is not necessary to provide separate emitting elements with emission surfaces, so that connection points between the emitting element and the smoke extractor device are not necessary either. Since impurities can accumulate at the connection points, in the embodiment in which a section of the surface of the fume extractor housing forms the emitting element, cleaning is simplified.
Additionally or alternatively, the emission surface may be a section of the cooking plate. In this embodiment, a portion of the cooking plate cover plate is used as the emission surface, which is located near the opening in which the smoke extractor is housed at least by areas. By means of this embodiment, the structure of the kitchen appliance can be simplified, since the section of the cooking plate that serves as the emission surface cannot be a moving part and, therefore, the supply can be safely established of light to this emitting element.
According to one embodiment, an opening is provided on the cooking plate to accommodate at least a part of the smoke extractor, and the emission surface lies in the area of the opening. In particular, the emission surface may lie on the fume extractor or on the cooking plate, in particular, the cover plate, displaced outwardly with respect to the opening.
At least one of the lighting devices of the indicating device is arranged in the kitchen appliance so that the light emitted by the lighting device reaches the emission surface (s) and is emitted through them.
According to a preferred embodiment, the light is emitted by the emission surface upwards or laterally.
The lighting device or lighting devices may be provided at different points of the kitchen appliance. Next, reference is made to a

lighting device However, various lighting devices may also be provided according to the invention.
According to one embodiment, the lighting device is arranged next to the smoke extractor device, in particular, next to the frame of the smoke extractor device or next to the housing of the smoke extractor device, or next to the cooking plate, in concrete, next to the cooking plate cover plate or next to a cooking plate housing of the cooking plate.
In an embodiment in which at least one of the lighting devices is arranged next to the frame of the fume extractor, the lighting device may be fixed, for example, on the upper side, the lower side, or the edge of the frame. The lighting device can here constitute, for example, a strip of LEDs (light emitting diodes). Also if the lighting device (s) is installed on the upper or lower side, it is preferably installed in the marginal area of the frame. The lighting devices may extend here throughout the perimeter of the frame or, for example, be installed only by the longitudinal edges of the frame.
The expression "arranged next to the cooking plate" includes the concept of the position of the lighting device (s) in which they are arranged next to the cooking plate cover plate or next to a housing the cooking plate.
The lighting device may, for example, be in contact with the cooking plate cover plate under it or on it. In the latter case, the lighting device is preferably covered at least partially upwards by the frame of the smoke extractor. In this embodiment, the lighting device is thereby disposed between the frame of the fume extractor and a cooking plate cover plate. In an arrangement next to the cooking plate housing, the lighting device may be fixed to the cooking plate housing, for example, above or below the floor thereof.
According to one embodiment, the indicating device comprises a light conductor, which is preferably part of the smoke extraction device, in particular, the upper part of the housing of the smoke extraction device. The emission surface here constitutes an end of the photoconductive part of the smoke extractor device. This embodiment has the advantage that the lighting device does not have to be arranged directly next to the emission surface or near the emission surface, but can be housed
5

distanced from this in the kitchen appliance. Therefore, the lighting device may be distanced from the areas of the kitchen appliance in which high temperatures originate. Such high temperature areas are expected, for example, around the heating modules of the hob. When a light conductor is used, the light emitted by the lighting device is transported to the emission surface, which can then be found next to the fume extractor or in the area of the fume extractor and, if necessary, in the surroundings of the heating modules. If, for example, the housing of the smoke extractor device is used as a light conductor, the light is then coupled by the lighting device at a point in the housing and is, for example, transported by an edge of an upper flange.
The lighting device preferably has at least one light-emitting diode (LED) as the light source. This type of light source is advantageous since, on the one hand, it requires little constructive space and, on the other hand, it can also emit light in different colors.
Preferably, the emission surface extends over at least a part of the edge of the fume extractor. In particular, the emission surface may be provided, for example, next to the outer edge of the frame or of the housing. Since the fume extractor device has large dimensions to fulfill the function of air suction, in this arrangement of the emission surface a large surface can be used to emit information. The emission surface and, if necessary, also the lighting device, may in each case constitute a strip.
Through the length of the strip, for example, light in different colors can be emitted. Thus, for example, the degree of ventilation in which the fume extractor device is operated can be indicated by lighting a part of the length of the strip in one color. The remaining part of the strip may then be unlit, that is, not emit light, or be illuminated in another color.
According to a preferred embodiment, the indicating device is connected to a control unit of the smoke extractor device. In this way, different states of operation of the smoke extractor device can be indicated on the indicating device. Therefore, the lighting device is preferably operated depending on the operating state of the smoke extractor device.

According to the invention, the suction opening of the smoke extractor device is preferably in the cooking plate. In particular, the suction opening is, for example, in the plane of the upper side of the cooking plate cover plate or moved slightly up or down with respect to this plane. The fume extractor device can be fixedly arranged on the cooking plate. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the smoke extractor device is mobile, in particular, removable upwards, with respect to the cooking plate.
Next, the invention will be described again with greater accuracy with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show:

10 and housed there at least partially. The cooking plate 10 has a cover plate 100 and a cooking plate housing 103 located below it.
The smoke extractor device 11 comprises a housing 112, of which only the lower part is visible in Figure 1, and a frame 110. The frame 110 forms the upper side of the smoke extractor device 11. In the frame 110 are incorporated suction openings 111, which are also called suction openings. The suction openings 111 are made as elongated grooves that extend in the direction of the depth of the fume extractor 11 and, thereby, of the kitchen appliance 1. The suction openings 111 extend along the side edges of the frame 110. Through the suction openings 111, other parts of the housing 112 are schematically recognized. The smoke extractor 11 further comprises at least one fan (not shown), which can be housed in the housing of the plate cooking 103 or arranged below it.
In figure 2, a schematic sectional view of a part of an embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention is shown with a first embodiment of the indicating device 12. The indicating device 12 comprises a lighting device 120, which has at least one light source 121. Preferably, the lighting device 120 also has electrical connections (not shown) by which the light sources 121 can be activated. In Fig. 2, a part of the edge of the fume extractor 11.
A heating module 102 is arranged next to the lower side of the cover plate 100. In addition, an opening 101 is incorporated in the cover plate 100 of the cooking plate 10 in which the housing 112 of the fume extractor 11 is partially housed The housing 112 has at its upper end flanges 113 directed outwards. The flange 113 rests on the upper side of the cover plate 100. The other part of the housing 112 penetrates the cooking plate 10 and, in the embodiment shown, protrudes from the lower side of the cooking plate housing 103.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the lighting device 120 is disposed on the floor of the cooking plate housing 103. Specifically, the light sources 121 of the lighting device 120 are installed on the floor of the cooking plate housing 103 such that they emit an upwardly directed beam of light L in the cooking plate housing 103. The position of the lighting device 120 is chosen such that, in perpendicular top view on
5
10

the kitchen appliance 1, the light sources 121 lie outside the outer edge of the frame 110 of the fume extractor 11. Therefore, the light L emitted by the light sources 121 is directed from below towards the cover plate 100 and It goes through it. In this way, a visible beam of light S is emitted by the cover plate 100 adjacent to the outer edge of the frame 110 of the fume extractor 11. Preferably, the beam of light S extends at least by one part of frame length 110.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the area of the cover plate 100 that is adjacent outwardly to the outer edge of the frame 110 of the fume extractor 11 thus serves as emitter element 122 of the indicating device 12.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the lighting device 120 is arranged next to the inner perimeter of the opening 101 of the cover plate 100. The light sources 121 are oriented such that they emit light L upwards. In the embodiment shown, the light sources 121 are in contact with the bottom side of the flange 113 of the housing 112 of the smoke extractor 11.
The light L can pass through this flange 113 thanks to the material of which the housing 112 is composed. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that in the housing 112, in particular, on the flange 113, grooves are incorporated through from which the light L can pass. In the frame 110 which is placed on the housing 112, slots are also preferably incorporated by means of which the light L emitted by the light sources 121 can be emitted upwards as visible light S.
In the embodiment according to Figure 4, the light sources 121 of the lighting device 120 are integrated in the housing 112, in particular, in the flange 113.
Therefore, the light sources 121 lie between the upper side of the cover plate 100 of the cooking plate 10 and the lower side of the frame 110. The light sources 121 are oriented here such that they emit light L / S in the horizontal. In particular, the light sources 121 are oriented such that they emit L / S light from the housing 112 of the smoke extractor 11 outwardly away from it.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 5, the lighting device 120 is arranged under the hob plate housing 103, in particular, next to the lower side of the hob of the hob 103. The light sources 121 they are oriented here in such a way that they emit the light L towards the housing 112 of the fume extractor 11. If the appropriate material for the housing 112 is chosen, the light L enters the wall of the housing 112 and this serves as a conductor of light. On the wall of the
5
10
fifteen
twenty

housing 112, the light is led upwardly to the flange 113 and emitted outwardly as visible light S through the outer edge of the flange 113.
In figure 6, a schematic perspective view is shown on an embodiment of a kitchen appliance 1 in the area of the smoke extractor 11.
In this view, the frame 110 of the smoke extractor device 11 is visible with the suction openings 111 incorporated therein. Under the frame 110 is the housing 112 of the fume extractor 11. In the housing 112, filter elements 13 are arranged.
In the embodiment shown, the light sources 121 of the lighting device 120 of the indicating device 12 are applied on the upper side of the frame 110. In FIG. 6, the indicating device 12 is activated. As it is represented by way For example, a strip may be provided next to each of the longitudinal edges of the frame 110. If the fume extractor 11 is on, then, for example, the entire length of the strip can be illuminated in a first color by means of the activation of the light sources 121 provided therein. In addition, for example by another color, a certain section of the strips corresponding to the degree of power of the smoke extractor 11 in which it is operated can be illuminated.
In Fig. 7, another embodiment is shown, where only a lighting device 120 of the indicating device 12 is provided next to the leading edge of the frame 110. Also in this embodiment, the indication of the indication is shown by way of example activation of the smoke extractor 11 and the adjusted power rating.
Therefore, with the present invention a kitchen appliance is achieved in which the lighting device, in particular, the lighting device of the indicating device, can be arranged in different positions. The lighting device may be arranged under the cover plate of the cooking plate, which may be composed, for example, of Ceran® glass. The lighting device may be formed by one or more strips of LEDs, and may be provided, for example, around the fume extractor, next to the sides of the fume extractor, or next to the front side of the fume extractor .
Alternatively or additionally, the lighting device may be arranged as at least one strip of transparent LEDs next to the frame of the smoke extractor device, which may also be called fan frame, in particular,
next to the top side of the fan frame, around the fan frame, next to the sides or next to the front side of the fan frame.
Also alternatively or additionally, the lighting device may be arranged as at least one strip of LEDs integrated next to the bottom side of the fan frame 5 in contact with the cover plate. Also in this embodiment, the lighting device may be provided around the fan frame, next to the sides of the fan frame, or next to the front side of the fan frame.
In addition, plastic components such as, for example, a part of the fume extractor device housing, or glass components between the fan frame and the cover plate, in particular the ceramic hob, may be provided. These can also be circulating, be provided next to one more sides, or next to the front side of the fan frame. In this embodiment, functional parts such as the housing of the fume extractor 15 can be used as a light conductor, which allows for a greater distance between the LEDs and the high temperature area generated by the heating modules of the hob and / or hot cooking vessels on the hob.
The lighting device can fulfill the following functions: all LED segments can be turned on if the fan is activated at a low grade 20, and the luminance of the LED segments can be increased correspondingly to the degree of power chosen. Thus, the lighting device acts as a user interface.
With the present invention, it becomes possible to illuminate all the relevant characteristics of the cooking plate with smoke extractor and, in addition, to create 25 user interfaces, illuminate the heating zones, and illuminate the smoke extractor device, where, by the lighting device, positions can be indicated, as well as the activation and the degree of power.
